Rouhani has the worst record of executions
The Iranian regime has executed at least 25 women in the past Persian year that ended on March 20. The true figure of execution carried out in Iran is much higher than those announced in state-run media.
The highest number of women were executed in the main prison in north western city of Orumiyah.
Most of the women have been executed for drug related charges, however, the charges of some of the women remain unknown.
Presently, over ten women, mostly under 30 years old are on death row in a prison in Varamin (southwestern Tehran).
The prisoners in Varamin include Rayhaneh Jabbari, 26. She has been imprisoned for the past seven years.
Jabbari, a decorator was forced to defend herself against the MOIS agent who attempted to assault her. The scuffle led to the death of the MOIS agent.
