Gold retailers going on strike in Iran
According to reports obtained from the cities of Isfahan, Tabriz, Urumieh and Najaf Abad, gold and jewelry retailers in these cities launched a strike on Monday, May 17th, protesting tax embezzlement and high custom rates.
In Isfahan, this strike continued into the streets.
In Urumieh the storeowners started their strike on Wednesday, May 21st.
According to other news gold retailers in Najaf Abad continued their strike on Wednesday, May 21st. They had gone on strike on Saturday, May 17th, protesting the decreasing price of gold.
