Political prisoner Behnam Ibrahimzadeh remains in ward 209 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison and held in solitary confinement. A labor rights activist he was first summoned to Evin Prison’s prosecutor’s office and then transferred to solitary confinement in ward 209 controlled by the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence.
This political prisoner has been condemned to five years in jail on charges of holding gatherings and collusion. At the end of last week he was transferred from solitary confinement in ward 240 to the general ward of Evin Prison after enduring 15 days in solitary confinement. However, he is currently held again in solitary confinement in ward 209.
