Iranian officials are clearly talking about absolute and unilateral support for the Syrian regime. Iran’s borders are stretched from the Mediterranean Sea to southern Lebanon and Bashar Assad is fighting a proxy war for Iran. Iran’s nature, unable to respond to internal issues, especially the youth, is summarized in crises and warmongering.

Based on this strategy, former Revolutionary Guards commander Rahim Safavi said in recent controversial remarks, “Iran’s borders do not end in Iraq. In fact, they are in southern Lebanon.” These remarks clearly show this regime’s intentions. Intentions that show Iran is investing in establishing an Islamic empire in all countries of the Persian Gulf.
These public remarks are a clear referral to flagrant violations in the internal intentions of regional countries. This resulted in Lebanon summoning the Iranian ambassador.
Rahim Safavi’s remarks came as a number of Persian-language newspapers cited Hossein Hamedani, another former IRGC official, saying, “Bashar Assad is fighting as Iran’s proxy, and if necessary this force is willing to dispatch 130,000 other members.” This is the public position of Iran quickly published in the media & press.
This Iranian official openly announced in Syria a second branch of the IRGC is being established, adding in the opinion of Iran’s rulers, a war in Syria is taking place between the Syrian people and the Assad dictatorship, which is more important than the 8-year long war with Iraq.
For this strategy, which they are pursuing Iran’s borders until southern Lebanon, they are willing to pay any price in a way that in the past few days we have witnessed two Iranian warships have left this country’s waters heading for Sudan, to go to another location which may probably be Syria.
