Gholamreza Khosravi buied in the dark of night
Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was a political prisoner executed after enduring years behind bars in Iran under the mullahs’ regime. Born on 15 July 1965 in the southwestern Iranian city of Abadan, he became acquainted with the PMOI in his teenage years, especially in the months before the 1979 revolution. After the fall of the Shah, Gholamreza became an active PMOI member, exposing the true nature of Khomeini and his regime of mullahs. Khomeini’s security forces arrested Khosravi in the summer of 1981 when he was only 16 years old, and he was released from Adel Abad and Kazeroun prisons in Shiraz (controlled by the Revolutionary Guards) after enduring 5 years of torture, along with physical and psychological pressures. He was released in 1986.
Following his release he passed exams to enter college but due to his record with the PMOI he was deprived of continuing his studies. The Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) conditioned his education on his cooperation with the mullahs’ regime, which Khosravi utterly refused.
After a few years of work he became an expert in installing industrial equipment, working in numerous industrial projects across the country. On 24 February 2008 he was arrested by MOISagents in the city of Kerman on charges of supporting the PMOI. He was transferred to the Kerman Bureau of Intelligence Detention Center.
The mullahs’ so-called judges in the city of Rafsanjan sentenced Khosravi to 3 more years behind bars. Three years later his verdict was changed in a Kerman appeals court to an absolute and irrevocable conviction. They didn’t stop here and despite the fact that Gholamreza had spent a full year in MOIS solitary confinement in Kerman, Saeed Mortazavi brought his case to Tehran where he endured 9 months of solitary confinement in the Ministry of Defense solitary confinement detention center. He was under continuous interrogation and in November 2010 he was sentenced to death on charges of ‘moharebe’ (enmity with God). He was in solitary confinement for 40 months afterwards.
Khosravi was among the political prisoner of ward 350 in Tehran’s Evin Prison , enduring all the tortures and deceiving intimidations by the mullahs’ regime. With their resistance they turned the prison into a bastion of perseverance and freedom.
In the infamous April 17th raid into ward 350 of Evin Prison, Khosravi was beaten by the authorities with extreme ferocity, being seriously injured, he was transferred to solitary confinement in Evin’s ward 350. After a worldwide campaign the Iranian regime was forced to return all those political prisoners back to ward 350.
