Iran: prison physician says lives of 4 Sunni Kurdish pol prisoners in danger

4 Iranian Sunni Kurdish political prisoners in Ghezel Hesar Prison
The physician at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, said the physical conditions of Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molaei, Jamshid Dehghani and Jahangir Dehghani, who have been on hunger strike for 25 days now, have become critical. According to this physician these inmates’ conditions are waning.
“Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molaei and Jahangir Dehghani have each lost 10 kilograms of their weight and their blood pressure has dropped to 8. Jamshid Dehghani’s conditions are even worse. He has lost 15 kilos and his blood pressure has dropped to 7,” said a relative of these inmates.
“In a telephone call that they had today with their families they said all 4 of them are held in a very small solitary confinement cell that lacks any kind of basic necessities or even adequate lighting. They are still in death row uniforms and only have two blankets to place under themselves. Their breakfast before fasting hours is only a cup of water and that’s it!” this source added.
Ghezel Hesar Prison chief has told them their presence in this prison is illegal and they are not even considered inmates. That is why the authorities have no responsibility over their conditions.
