Major French syndicates are lending their supporting for political prisoner Reza Shahabi, a member of the Tehran bus drivers’ syndicate, expressing their concern of his deteriorating conditions and calling for his immediate release and medical treatment.
The physical conditions of Reza Shahabi who has been in prison since June 2010 for his labor rights activities have raised the concerns of French syndicates SFDT, SGJ, FSO and Solider. Considering the fact that Reza Shahabi is facing the threat of the left side of his body going paralyzed, these syndicates have called for his immediate transfer to a hospital outside of Gohardasht Prison and access to necessary medical treatment.
These syndicates have called on Iranian regime officials to allow Reza Shahabi travel to France to undergo treatment there, saying they will pay all the expenses.
