Shocking: Iran regime agents destroy Baha’i cemetery, take out corpses

Bahai cemeteries in Iran threatened by IRGC and other repressive
entities

The World Baha’i Society issued a statement saying Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has restarted destroying the cemetery of this minority group in the city of Shiraz.
This society cited reports from inside Iran and issued a statement on August 6th saying the IRGC has “taken out the remains of 30 to 50 of the 90 Baha’i graves in this cemetery, throwing the bodies them into a canal.”
Ms. Dian Ala’i, the representative of the World Baha’i Society in the United Nations , described these measures as “anti-humane” and called on the Iranian regime to “immediately stop these insults”.
Ms. Ala’i called on the international community to raise their concerns in this regard.
The Baha’i cemetery in Shiraz has a 90-year history. The Iranian regime confiscated the property in 1984, saying no one has been buried there. ( NCRI – August 11, 2014)
