Iran: pol prisoners in Gohardasht Prison express support for Dervish inmates

                

A group of political prisoners in Gohardasht Prison issued a statement supporting Dervish inmates and their families, raising concerns about their arrests. This statement reads in part:
“We have been informed that a large number of Dervish community members rallying outside the public prosecutor’s office because of their loved ones being on hunger strike were arrested and sent to Evin Prison .
“We the political prisoners of Gohardasht Prison express our concerns of the arrest of these Dervish inmates’ family members and support the demands of the hunger strikers, and we call on the noble people of Iran and all human rights organizations to this matter, and we ask what was their crime? Other than just going to court to express their demands and follow up on their well-being of their jailed loved ones.
“Hail to the dear Dervish community members, especially the determined and resisting family members that broke the taboo of prison and some even voluntarily entered prison to tear down these walls and actually be part in the unjust detention of their loved ones.”
