Iran intelligence ministry’s involvement emerges in the clemency meeting to overturn Reyhaneh Jabbari’s execution

                    Reyhaneh one step from execution

According to human rights activists in Iran, a meeting of the families of Reyhaneh and the victim took place on Tuesday in Tehran to do the last ditch efforts for clemency and overturn the inhumane and unjustified death sentence against Reyhaneh Jabbari, a 26-year old woman being sent to the gallows only for defending herself against an assault. But curiously in that meeting which was supposed to be shared by only the two families, two suspicious bearded men were present and were advising the victim’s family. These two men were sitting on the opposite side of oldest son telling him not to pay attention to and be affected by Reyhaneh mother’s lamentations and moaning. They were insisting that the victim’s family should hold their position for execution to be carried out.
The human rights’ group says ’in the mullahs’ Iran decisions are being made for life and death of people and the Iranian regime carries the ultimate word on this decision. It seems that Reyhaneh’s case is connected to the bloody corridors of the nefarious intelligence ministry.
The tic toc for Reyhaneh’s execution is getting louder and her fate remains uncertain. It is now up to every human rights loving person to act to pressure the Iranian regime to overturn this unjust sentence.
