A number of political prisoners of Gohardasht prison issued a statement on regime’s deceptive tactics before the UN General Assembly issues its resolution on human rights in Iran.
This statement says in part: 'Greedy people are the only customers of liars.'
As the Iranian regime is under pressure from 3 directions: nuclear, exporting terrorism, and human rights abuse, to escape the answering to the international community especially regarding the violation of human rights, it has resorted to a new and absurd deception tactic and has called for 2 other Rapporteurs to visit Iran, totally ignoring Dr. Ahmad Shaheed. The irony is that some greedy and submissive appeasers are applauding them.
Therefore, as political prisoner in the notorious Gohardasht prison, we announce that we support Dr. Ahmad Shaheed, the Special UN Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran and declare that his technical reports are correct and in our view only a portion of the reality, not the entire violations by the Iranian regime.
The only way to stop the violation of human rights in Iran which has been condemned more than 60 times in the UN is to send this dossier to the UN Security Council for binding action.
