Iran: call to demonstrate and protest against the regime

As the anniversary of the 'students’ day' nears, youth and university students across the country have called for a demonstration and protest gatherings to condemn the Iranian regime’s brutalities especially the recent acid attacks against innocent women. These nationwide calls have been announced under the title of 'protest against acid attacks', 'let’s all unite' and 'we will come to the streets.'
Cities in which the calls for demonstration have been announced in include: Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Mashhad, Kerman, Sanandaj, Shiraz, Karaj, Ahwaz, Abadan and Urumia.  

Tehran: workers of Industrial Group Havayar on strike

Employees of Havayar Industrial Group, all of which are university graduates, gathered in front of the company headquarters’ office to protest to the decrease in their salary and increase of working hours and also the degrading treatments towards them. They demanded to be paid their unpaid wages immediately. The protesting workers threatened the company management to stop working and shut down the production line if their demands are not met.

Iran: ’Falat’ Company workers on strike

Strike on Saturday Nov. 29th by the 'Falat' Company workers lead to the clashes between the Drivers who had come to unload their trucks and due to the strike they couldn’t, and the company management. Falat Company is located on ’Rajaie’ unloading duck in the city of Bandar-Abbas. The clash prompted intervention by the special security and riot guards. Despite threats from the company management and the security police, the strike continues and the employees refrain from going back to work and drivers are left stranded. 

Iran: Drivers clash with the Special Guard in Bandar-Abbas

Contracting drivers whose paychecks were bounced gathered outside the office of the director of Shahrva Company in Bandar-Abbas on Saturday Nov. 29. Special anti-riot guard units were immediately dispatched and out of fear of the spread of the unrest, the guards attacked the protesters. Clashes erupted and one of the Shahrva employees was injured. The clashes continued through Sunday, Nov. 30th.

Tehran: people clash with Basij militants in ’Qaitaria’ area

A group of Basij militants in Qaitaria area of Tehran tried to harass and arrest a number of young girls and boys in a park on Friday Nov. 28th but were confronted with stiff resistance by the youth and people who were in the park at that time. They eventually were forced to retreat and leave the park out of fear of the clash could turn to a larger anti-regime demonstration.
