Iran: 23rd day of hunger strike of Urumia pl. prisoners

         
The hunger strike of 26 political prisoners in Urumia Central Prison has passed its 23th day mark. The prison authorities, who are ignoring their demands, want to use force to break their strike. The prisoners protested and started an unlimited hunger strike, against being kept in Ward of common criminals. 
The infamous representative of Intelligence Ministry in the prison summoned one of the hunger strikers and threatened him that if he continues with his hunger strike, he will face serious consequences. But this prisoner persevered on the will to continue regardless of the consequences and said all prisoners are steadfast to continue their strike to the end until they obtain their demands.
