Tehran: Two Basij militants in Manouchehri Street punished

As a couple of Basij paramilitary agents tried to fine and plunder two foreign tourists, on Friday afternoon Jan. 16th, a group of youth reacted and defended the two foreign tourists clashing and punishing the Basijis forcing them to flee and leave the two young tourists alone. 

Tehran motorcycle riders clash with regime agents in Joumhuri Ave

A couple of State Security forces stationed in Jomhouri Ave set up a check point on Thursday Jan. 16 to stop motorcycle riders in order to charge them for bogus penalties. As they tried to stop and harass motorcycle riders and ask them for money, a number of them clashed with the annoying agents. The agents arrested one young motorcycle rider to intimidate and pressure others, but others reacted angrily and attacked the agents freeing the arrested youth. They booed the Basij militants as they were fleeing the scene.  

Tehran: A protest gathering of the dismissed workers of the National North drilling Company

50 workers of the National North drilling Company gathered in front of Oil Ministry in Tehran on Jan. 14th, to protest against their dismissal under the pretext of financial resource deficit. 
An angry worker said that no governmental agency or organization is ready to defend the workers’ rights. Every month they lay off 50 or sometimes up to 200 workers with bogus excuses, and exactly a day later they publish notices of new hiring. If they have financial deficits to the extent that forces them to lay off their employees, why would they go out to hire the same number of dismissed employees? and with the same specialties and expertise.   

Tehran vendors clash with regime agents in front of Aladdin shopping mall

A number of state and local agents of the government in a bit to extort and slap fine on shops in Aladdin shopping complex in Joumhuri Street at 8 PM of Friday Jan. 16th. But the vendors reacted angrily refusing to be plunder and clashed with the suppressive government agents. As the clashes grew wider and drew other venders and shop owners in the fight, the agents became frightened and fled the scene.

Tehran: violent clash between vendors and State Security Forces in the town of Andisheh, suburb of Tehran

A violent raid on vendors in the town of Andisheh, suburb of the capital Tehran by State Security forces was responded with a stiff resistance from the vendors on Friday Jan. 16. The security forces had planned on raiding vendors at Andisheh intersection, in the town of Andisheh, suburb of Tehran for extortion and fining shop owners to, as it is known in Iran, for covering the loses due to low oil prices and back breaking international sanctions. The vendors did not bow to their demands and clash with state forces demanding their rights to be honored. The vendors say these agents of extortion always come and they ask for money, otherwise they would close our business. They say that they are being blackmailed and they are left helpless to deal with such atrocities.

Orumia: A lager protest gathering of workers of Shadab factory

A number of workers of Shade-Ab factory, the producers of fruit juices in Urumia, northwest of the country gathered on Jan. 12th in front of regime general management office to protest against unpaid salaries and wages.
