Iran: Three more prisoners to be hanged in Kerman

                      

The authorities in the main prison in the southern city of Kerman have transferred three men to isolation to await their execution on Sunday.

The three prisoners who have been sentenced to death allegedly for drug related offences have been identified as Karim Alizehi, Hossan Rahimyar, and Ghader Alizehi.

 From the beginning of the year, the Iranian regime has executed at least 24 prisoners. On New Year's Day, 14 inmates were executed.

At least 1,200 people have been executed since Rouhani became president, including political prisoners

The executions are being carried out to create fear and intimidation in society and to prevent any public expression of dissent against the regime.
