Iran: Wide spread protests in different cities

                     Wide spread protests in Iran

Tehran: a number of printing shops and digital showrooms in Iran-shahr, a suburb of Tehran shut down their shops and went on a strike on Wednesday Jan. 21st in protest against mandatory tax increase. They said it is not fair that the taxes are increased %20 comparing to last year.
Tehran: City employees and agents of the city hall attacked a number of men and women vendors harassed and bothering them on Saturday Jan. 27th. The angry deprived vendors first protested and then clash with the suppressive agents. 
Shahrood: 200 teachers and school personnel of the city of Shahroud gathered in the mosque assigned to the Education and Culture Office on Tuesday Jan. 30th, to protest against poor living conditions unsanitary situations. They demanded that the regime authorities respond to their grievances.

500 teachers of Mariwan, Kurdistan province converged along with teachers of other cities in front of the Education and Culture Office in the city of Marivan on Jan. 20th, and 21st.   
The teachers from 17 cities went on strike and protested against poor living conditions and existing security atmosphere in schools and refrained to go back to classrooms.

Tehran: people support a vendor after he clashes with police

A Basij militia attempted to prevent a vendor selling movie video CDs from doing his business. The vendor resisted the intrusion by the Basiji man which led to a clash between the two. This happened in Joumhuri Street district and nearby 30th Tir Ave on Jan. 18th. Soon other police agents and Basij and security arrived at the scene trying to arrest the vendor. The Basij agent asked police to confiscate the vendors’ property and arrest him. But a group of people at the scene and also other shop owners in this region came to the aid of the young vendor making the arrest so much more difficult. 
Eventually, the vendor collected his items and moved to another location.

Iran, Karaj: security at Azad Agricultural University were chastised

On Thursday morning Jan, 22nd at the Agricultural University in Mehr-Shahr, Karaj, west of Tehran, a Basij militant was punished and chastised when he attempted to prevent a student from entering the university. The annoying Basij militia accused the young student of improper dress code. Other students tried to negotiate their friend’s permission to enter the university, but the Basiji man ignored their attempt which prompted a scuffle between the students and the aggravating Basij militant ending with the Basij guy being beaten and kicked out of the campus. 

Tehran- Teachers’ protest gathering

Teachers of Quds and Shahriar Towns gathered in front of the Education and Culture ministry Office in these twin towns to protest against low wages and backed up bonuses and benefits. They also demanded to have effective medical insurance services. They staged a protest on Thursday Jan. 22nd. 
It is worth noticing that the general strikes by the deprived teachers and culture ministry personnel have been going on during last 10 days.

Iran: fishermen protest gathering in Asalouyeh
A group of impoverished fishermen at Asalouyeh fish market, southern Iran protested on Thursday Jan 22nd against high cost of taxes and lack of proper places and facilities for unloading their shipments for sale and transfer to other markets in that city. 
The marauder mayor of Asalouyeh had promised fishers to provide facilities and the right places for them after an increase in taxes more than two years ago. But actually not only no improvement has happened for these fisher, the extortionist mayor has raised the taxes even further and imposed more pressures on these fishers, a situation that has made lots of angry and frustrated fishers in that region.
