One thousand (1000) Tehran University students staged a gathering on Saturday Feb. 7th to protest the increasing costs of education, scaling down the capacity of dormitories, limitating student movements and the suppressive conducts of the university security guards.
Mahmoud Nili, Dean of Tehran University sent Ahmad Reza Khezri; his envoy with complete authority into the crowd of protesters, fearing of the spread of the protest move. Students announced that 'if our demands are not met by Feb. 14th, we shall stage another gathering.'
