Sunni prisoners held in Hall no. 10, Ward 4 of Gohardasht prison, (also called Rajaie Shahr) chanted 'Death to Khamenei', the Supreme Leader, after they heard the news of the dawn execution of their friends. The Echo of 'death to Khamenei' chant could be heard throughout the ward and other halls hours after the execution of 6 Sunni Kurd political prisoners Wednesday morning.
Their emboldened chant was to give the message that they are not afraid of the noose and remain steadfast to the end, because they are struggling for their rights and freedom of expression.
The warden and prison guards were afraid of violent reaction of the prisoners that could have turned to a full scale riot, just stood aside watching and not doing anything.
