Tehran: More than 500 ranchers from 6 provinces staged a demonstration in front of Iranian regime president’s office
More than 500 cattle growers and ranchers from Isfahan, Lorestan, Khuzestan, Bandar-Abbas and Golestan provinces and the city of Varamin staged a protest gathering in front of the President’s office in Tehran on Sunday, May 10th protesting the increased and irregular buffalo meat imports by the government favored dealers from India. 

One of the protesters said: the irregular and unsafe import of rotten buffalo meat that even the health ministry admits being rotten and stale is done under the direction and insistence of Rouhani’s first vice president and that these bad meats are imported by through a company owned by his son-in-law. The protester added that ranchers would be remain silent while this corrupt man is pocketing money while people are getting sick. He added 'we have been here from early morning to speak our rights and defend our interests. But so far 5 of the protesting ranchers have been apprehended by the security forces and we have been intimidated and frightened that if we remain and continue with our protest, we would be arrested as well.

Tehran: Retired workers who had participated in the Association meeting protested

The theatrical meeting of retired workers at the Association of Retired Workers was disrupted today, Monday, May 11 after the frustrated retired workers booed the officials and said none of their pledges have been fulfilled. They each started to speak out telling their stories and frustrations of not getting any answer from the government, despite earlier pledges. 
One of the retired workers shouted that he would set himself a blaze if the government keeps ignoring their plight. Another frustrated worker complained of what he called 'empty promises' of the government agencies in keeping up with their responsibilities toward these workers and said all he and other have heard from the government has been lies and empty promises. The third one said when the official poverty line is at 3 million tomans, a %15 increase in our pension is like adding salt to our wounds. It is torture not remedy. 
As the protest and complains took momentum, the authorities who didn’t expect to see their stage meeting turn in to a demonstration, tried to wrap up the meeting as soon as possible and leave the meeting.

Tehran: Azad University Students’ protest

Students at ’Azad University’ south of the capital Tehran took part in a protest demonstration on Saturday May 9th demanding the resignation of one of the University vice presidents. The students accused the unnamed vice president of using degrading and insulting gestures toward the students.

Isfahan: A gathering of more than 300 human rights activists demanding justice for Farinaz Khosrawani

On Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the ancient historical city of Isfahan, Central Iran, more than 300 women’s rights activists gathered in the famous Ashrafi-Isfahani blvd in the city to protest the events that led to the horrible and tragic death of the young Mahabad Farinaz Khosrawani, the Kurdish girl who died last week while trying to escape an assault attempt by an infamous intelligence ministry agent. 
The demonstrators, among them two victims of last year’s acid attack in Isfahan, insisted on the arrest and trial of the culprit who cause this tragic death and demanded that perpetrators of the recent acid attacks, which the government still has not brought any of them to justice, to be brought to justice and those behind these heinous crimes be identified and put on trial.
