Imprisoned Iraqi woman in Iran nears death

Ms. Bisma al-Jabouri, an Iraqi woman imprisoned in Iran, went unconscious in the evening of Thursday, July 16. She was in dire physical conditions and after her cellmates began protesting she was finally transferred from the Gharchak women’s prison in Varamin (SE Tehran) to a hospital in the Iranian hospital. Ever since she has been transferred to the hospital there have been no new reports on her conditions.
Her conditions are very dire after 101 days on hunger strike and she is practically on the verge of death.
Iranian public prosecutor Dolat Abadi has refused to release this prisoner under orders issued by the Ministry of Intelligence, and has conditioned her release on writing a request for amnesty and repenting. 
Ms. al-Jabouri went on hunger strike on April 8 protesting the fact that she has not received any medical care and is being held under inhumane conditions. She was born in 1976 and has two children back in Iraq.
