Khamenei and Rouhani have personally intervened and ordered further pressures on women’s clothing and freedoms. In this regard, Montazer al-Mahdi, deputy of social affairs in the State Security Forces reported a special plan on imposing hijab and virtue regulations will be reviewed.
“Under requests made by the president and supreme leader, this plan will be placed under more review,” he said.
“It is important to note that the State Security Forces plan known as ‘enjoining good and forbidding wrong’ and measures by the SSF moral security police are not just for specific months of the year and they will be fully implemented,” he added.
