Iran: political prisoner transferred to hospital

Assadollah Hadi, a political prisoner detained in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran, has been transferred to Tajrish Shohada Hospital to follow up on his medical treatment.
Hadi is a very old prisoner suffering from heart illnesses, knee meniscus, kidney and intestinal problems. He was also imprisoned for years during the 1980s and arrested and condemned to 5 years in prison in 2009 on charges of measures against national security and disrupting public order.
