Hundreds of prisoners on hunger strike in west Iran prison

Hundreds of prisoners in Mahabad Prison launched a hunger strike protesting inhumane restrictions imposed by the new prison warden.
Over 500 male and 30 female prisoners are taking part in this massive hunger strike and the entire prison is under intense conditions.
Hossein-poor, the new Mahabad Prison warden, has imposed various limitations on prisoners including banning any visits.
Furthermore, the prison clinic is much more limited and sending prisoners to the clinic in urgent cases has now been prohibited.
