NCRI - Workers of the Parsian Refinery in Mehr County, in Iran's southern Fars Province, held a protest on Tuesday demanding job security and better rights.
The protestors stated: “Four years ago… our terms of employment were changed from contract workers to permanent workers, but since then payment of some dividends has remained vague and unresolved.”
Mehr County is 25 kilometers from Aslavieh in Fars Province and much like Aslavieh has a hot and intolerable climate with the workers of the refinery deprived of the least dividends.
