Syrian govt should not be given tbe GPS coordination of hospital run by MSF

GENEVA: Doctors Without Borders says  repeated attacks against health facilities during Syria’s five-year civil war has led medical staffers to ask the group not to provide GPS coordinates of some sites like one in the town of Maaret al-Numan hit four times in attacks Monday, killing at least seven people. Eight remain missing.

The charity says it took the wrenching decision not to formally inform Syria’s government or its Russian allies about the location of some medical facilities like one hit by a deadly airstrike this week.
MSF, as the group is known by its French acronym, says the responsibility to avoid hitting civilians rests with combatants.
