Iran: Khamenei reiterated women's veiling as a security issue

The mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said mal-veiling was a threat to society’s physical and moral security.

In a meeting on May 8 with the State Security Forces’ commanders, he stressed on suppression of Iranian women and youths and said, “Having made accurate, firm, logical and proper planning in moral security issues, (the SSF) does not need to pay attention to any opposition or the atmosphere blown up by the media.”

Khamenei emphasized that the SSF must be present "in all residential areas and wherever people live."
