Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 470 Cities Exceeds 189,300

  • NCRI- While the situation of nurses is getting worse every day, and no action has been taken to buy the COVID-19 vaccine, in a bold lie, Rouhani, said, “The cost of hospitalization has decreased to 6 to 10 percent (what it was). We did not receive any money for treating people with COVID-19 and even treated people who were not Iranians.”
Director-General of the National Medical Organization: Providing vaccines to the people is a vital, inevitable, and definitive priority. Injecting 50 million vaccines in eight months will not be effective. These many vaccines should be injected in three months to break the viral chain effectively
  • Secretary-General of the Nursing Organization: The departure of nurses (from the country) has increased by 300%. 3,000 to 4,000 nurses left their jobs during the pandemic.
  • Head of Gilan Nursing Organization: We have five months of unpaid wages to nurses, and some universities of medical sciences have unpaid wages since last year. COVID-19 continues, and we are waiting to be paid.
  • Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Nursing Organization: We need to hire 1,000 nurses. Six months of nurses’ arrears have not been paid.
