Iran: A Baha’i woman arrested in Varamin

Suppression of Bahai citizens in Iran
According to activists reporting from Iran, Laleh Mehdi-nejad, a Baha’i woman was arrested by the state security agents on Monday March 9 and transferred to the infamous intelligence ministry prison after her house was viciously searched and her property including computers and notebooks confiscated. She has been reported to have been transferred to the notorious Evin Prison , political prisoners’ ward following the preliminary interrogations at the intelligence ministry prison. 
Five other Baha’i citizens, 4 women and a man from Tehran, Varami and Isfahan were also arrested last month. 4 women have been identified as Rouhiah Bagherdokht, Mona Mehrabi, Elham Karampisheh, Safa and Mehrdad Forghni. All five had been arrested in a coordinated operation by the infamous intelligence ministry. Their families have been barred to contact them and have no news of their loved ones. They have not even been assigned a lawyer or allowed to pay bond for temporarily release. The families don’t even know where are they being kept and in what stage of the process are their case and simply stated, they are in total dark as to the wellbeing of their loved ones.
