On Saturday, 8 August Saeed Khalili, who was previously chosen by the Taheri family to settle cases related to complaints about various texts published on websites, was introduced as Mohammad Ali Taheri’s new lawyer for the appeals court. Khalili referred to prison and had his representation papers signed by Mr. Taheri.
Mr. Taheri has been arrested several times up to now. His latest arrest was on 4 May 2011. Sometime before, 12 individuals from the “Erfan Halgheh” were collectively handed 24 years of imprisonment and fined 100 million tomans.
