Ban Ki-moon: executions have no place in 21st century

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on all countries to take serious steps to set aside executions, or no longer use such form punishment.
The UN chief made these remarks in a meeting held with the cooperation of the UN High Commission for Human Rights and the Italy’s Permanent Delegation in the UN. Together we can end this ruthless and inhumane method across the globe, said Ban Ki-moon.
The two countries of China and Iran are the world’s two most major executioners.
