Khalkhal:
Truck drivers in the city of Khalkhal protesting rising fuel prices are on strike and refusing to load any goods. The representatives of these truck drivers rallied outside the truck drivers’ union in the city of Ardebil demanding the situation of new fuel prices to be clarified.
Chahar Mahal & Bakhtiari:
Villagers near the towns of Kiar and Ardal in Chahar Mahal & Bakhtiari Province protested the construction of a new dam that has caused their agricultural grounds go flooded. The most important road linking this province to Khuzestan Province is also now blocked due to these flood waters. This protest rally was held on Thursday, May 1st, outside the regime’s governor office in Chahar Mahal & Bakhtiari Province.
Isfahan & Shahr-e Kord:
Coinciding with May Day, Isfahan and Shahr-e Kord farmers held a gathering outside the regime’s governor office in these two cities, protesting the blocking of Zayande River closed for the use in a near steel mill.
Urumieh:A group of taxi drivers rallied outside the regime’s governor in the city of Urumieh on Thursday, May 1st, protesting the increasing gasoline and diesel fuel prices. These taxi drivers in this rally called for new taxi rates according to the increasing fuel prices.
