The notorious Evin prison in Tehran
On Monday, the Iranian regime’s justice minister prevented members of families of Tehran’s Evin prison political prisoners from visiting their loved ones who have been transferred to solitary confinement following April 17 barbaric raid by security forces that left many prisoners severely injured.
In an attempt to cover up the crimes Mostafa Pourmohammadi - who has been implicated for massacre of thousands of political prisoners in iran in 1988 - turned down the usual Monday visits by members of families of political prisoners.
Pourmohammadi said on Sunday: “The published reports (about the raid on political prisoners) were incorrect. It was just a routine inspection of the wards… a couple of prisoners were just lightly bruised and were treated without any need for hospitalization.”
Regarding preventing the family visits he offered the following excuse: “The families of prisoners have requested immediate visits, but nothing has happened to justify their requests for immediate visits.”
Meanwhile, the prisoners in Ward 350 of Tehran’s Evin prison rejected claims by another official of the Iranian regime who had said that a number of families had met with their children.
They prisoner declared that no visits has taken place by member of families of political prisoners in Ward 350 of Evin Prison.
