Amir Chamani returned to prison

HRANA News Agency – Amir Chamani, the students’ activist returned to the Tabriz prison April 19, 2013 to serve rest of his sentence.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Amir Chamani had come for vacation on April 15, 2013. He was arrested in his home on January 13, 2013 and was transferred to the central prison of Tabriz to serve his 9 months sentence of prison after being kept in the intelligence of Tabriz for 2 weeks.

This MA student of sociology in the Tabriz Azad University was released on the bail of 50 Million Thomans after being under integration for several times and afterwards was sentenced to 6 months of prison on charge of insulting the leader and the establisher of the Islamic Republic, 91 days of prison on charge of propaganda against the government and 40 lashes on the charge of insulting the president by the section 1 of the revolutionary court of Tabriz by the Judge Hamlbar.
