New reports of protests & strikes across Iran

               Increasing protests in Iran

Bafgh
The 5,000-strong strike staged by Bafgh miners in central Iran surpassed its 9th day on Wednesday, August 27th. At the same time a number of workers and members of the detained workers’ families rallied outside the regime’s governorate in this city demanding their loved ones’ release. On Tuesday night the strikers rallied outside the miners’ entrance.
Karaj
A number of youths attacked repressive regime forces, severely beating one of them. This scuffle erupted at 7:30pm on Tuesday night, August 26th, when the regime agents intended to inspect the vehicle of these youths and harass them.
Tehran
At a soccer match fans clashed with state police when they intended to arrest a number of the fans.
TehranA number of textile manufacturers went on strike on Monday, August 25th, with a number of clothing store owners joining their efforts. This strike is launched protesting rising prices of raw material.
Bane, Iran Kurdistan
A number of large storeowners in this city went on strike on the morning of Tuesday, August 26th, protesting new taxes imposed under the pretext of ’border importer tax’.
