A number of people clashed verbally on Thursday Jan 29th with a Basij agent in Atesh-Neshani Street near Tehran metro station which eventually led to physical scuffle and chastising and punishing the agent. The incident started when the agent made trouble for a woman beggar and her young child on the street. As the agent started to shout at the beggar, people from around reacted and protested against this inhumane treatment. The aggressive response of the Basij agent sparked angry reaction from the crowd and subsequent scuffle with the annoying Basij.
The anti-human regime has placed 600 prisoners in the Golpaygan prison that only has the capacity for 300 persons. This inhumane and against all international laws and standards move not only has created a hell like situation for the prisoners, but it has also increased the chances of spreading diseases much more quicker than the prison authorities can handle.
The oppressive agents of intelligence General Office in Kurdistan province arrested 3 teachers on Wednesday Jan 28th accusing them of disturbing public mentalities and invitation to stage protest gathering. The teachers who were arrested are identified as: Mohsen Kolivand, Alborz Haidari, and Jabbar Alizadeh. It is notable that teachers of different cities of Kurdistan gathered to protest on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. Their protest was to protest and condemn the security atmosphere in schools and demanding solutions to instability of their job conditions.
According to reports from inside Iran, a pisoner identified as Reza Bigham was hanged on Thursday Jan 29th after 12 years of captivity in Bam central prison.
The World Medical Association, WMA, called for the immediate freedom of the political prisoner, Ayatollah Kazemini Boroujerdi who is spending time for his 11-year sentence in the notorious Evin Prison . Dr. Xavier Deau, President of the WMA reminded that Ayatollah Boroujerdi needs urgent medical attention. The letter signed by the WMA also includes that based on Amnesty International report, Ayatollah Boroujerdi is suffering from multiple illnesses including Diabetes, Asthma, Parkinson, Kidney diseases, heart problem and severe pain in his back and legs. He has also lost the sight in one of his eyes and his health is deteriorating fast to the extent that he cannot stand on his feet and fells down continuously.
