The official Iranian police website reported the beginning of a crackdown campaign against women in Tehran and circumstances of women being arrested for so called 'improper veiling'.
This official website wrote: “A new round of action against improper clothing, loud noises, improper veiling and women being harassed is launched in the capital.
From the morning of Saturday, April 16, moral police patrols were seen along with police officers stationed across Tehran in highways, busy streets, shopping centers and business complexes to take firm and legal action against individuals failing to abide by the dress code and violating improper veiling regulations.
