Nazak Afshar is detained in Evin Prison despite her abysmal health conditions.
Ms. Afshar who formerly was an employee of the French Embassy in Iran, was arrested upon arrival at the airport last month and transferred to prison. She frequently loses consciousness and faints as a result of which her body is bruised all over.
It is over three weeks that she has been held in prison in limbo. A bail has been set for Ms. Afshar but Judge Salavati hinders her release under various pretexts.
