Iran: No news of detained activist after 9 months

Women are experiencing extreme torment in Iran prisons
More than 9 months have passed since the detention of Nahid Gorji in Mashhad. There is no information about the charges raised against her, the status of her case or the exact location where she is being held.
Gorji was arrested on 11 October 2014 when security agents went to her home, inspected her belongings, transferred to a so-called revolution court in Mashhad and finally took her to an unknown location.
On December 8, 2014 eight Members of the European Parliament issued a joint letter to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini expressing their concerns on the arrest of Nahid Gorji. Those close to Gorji have said her activities were only on social media such as Facebook, Viber and WhatsApp, and they consider this to be the reason of her arrest.
