Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan for a free Iran1- Vote of the people is the sole indicator of legitimacy in a republic based on the vote of the general public.
2- A pluralist system, freedom of parties and gatherings, individual freedoms, full freedom of speech and press, unconditional access to the Internet for all.
3- Commitment to support the revoking of the death penalty.
4- Separation of church and state. Banning any discrimination against followers of various religions.
5- Full equality between men and women in the political, economic and social fields. Equal participation for women in political leadership. Revoking any and all discrimination against women. Freedom of dress, marriage, divorce, education and employment.
6- Belief in a state of law and justice. Establishing a modern judicial system based on the presumption of innocence, right to legal defense, right to demand justice and right to public prosecution. Full independence for judges, revoking the mullahs’ sharia law.
7- Respecting human rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and international conventions and covenants such as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, convention against torture and the Convention against any discrimination against women.
8- Recognizing public property rights, private investment and the free market. Respecting the principle of equal opportunity for all Iranian people in professional fields and the right to employment.
9- Foreign policy based on peaceful coexistence; international and regional peace and cooperation and respecting the United Nations Charter.
10- A non-nuclear Iran and without any weapons of mass destruction.
