Iran: 61 executions after mullahs’ sham elections

• Six women and one youth, aged 15 at the time of his arrest, were among those executed
• Four public executions in Ahvaz, Shahr-e Kord and Karaj
NCRI - In a horrific crime the inhumane mullahs’ regime sent 11 inmates, including 3 three women, to the gallows in Zahedan Central Prison, located in southeastern Iran. Four days prior to this in yet another terrible crime 21 inmates were hanged in Ghezzel Hessar Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran.
Therefore, the number of executions following the mullahs’ sham elections has reached to the count of 61. One of those executed was merely 15 years of age at the time of his arrest. Six of the victims were women and four inmates were hanged in public before the eyes of terrified people in the cities of Ahvaz, Shahr-e Kord and Karaj.
The wave of executions in various cities across Iran is aimed at strengthening the climate of fear after the regime’s sham presidential elections. During the mandate of Rouhani, the new mullahs’ president, who has been one of the regime’s main elements of war and suppression, especially in the bloody crackdown of the 1999 students uprising, the increasing trend of suppression and executions will continue in order to maintain the disgraceful existence of this regime.
