Iran: A prominent outspoken woman protests death sentence to a juvenile Kurd

Execution in Iran

Don’t. Don’t. Don’t.
Don’t execute Himan Uraminejad.
Mrs. Shole Pakravan, mother of the slain 26-year-old Reyhaneh Jabbari who was hanged in 2014 for defending herself against an evil man attempting to rape her when she was only 19 years old has spoken against killing another youth for an alledged crime perpetrated as child.

Mrs. Pakravan says 'everyone in the world knows a human being is a child at least until the age of 18. And there are international laws to protect the life of a child, despite the crime perpetrated. There are campaigns to stop execution of juveniles.
To the judiciary chief, you should at least take a look at the age of the individual that you are signing off to be executed.
At least you would remember that your own children, boys and girls next to yours, how they were also children…
Don’t. Children should live. If they make a mistake, they should be taught and forgiven.
Himan Uraminejad was only three years older than the child who lost his life. Do you see?
The society in Iran is tired of these executions. They have read so many short and long news reports about the execution of various individuals that they are sick and tired of various judiciary individuals literally playing with the issue of executions.
Don’t make the people unhappy by executing Himan, a juvenile not knowing right from wrong. Don’t ruin the [Persian] New Year for them. Be patient and have patience.
The judges who sign such executions should know that on judgment day they must answer for each and every of their signatures. That day will not be kind to those who have sinned in such a way.
Cancel the execution of Himan Uraminejad and return him to his mother.
Himan Uraminejad was sentenced to death in 2012 at the age of 17 for accidentally killing another boy. He is currently 21 years old and on death row in Sanandaj Prison, west of Iran.
It is said he was tortured during his arrest, and bruises and wounds were seen all over his body.
