Political prisoner Saeed Razavi Faghih, detained in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, launched a dry hunger strike since Saturday, September 12.
He had written a letter to the prison warden protesting how physicians had behaved and their negligence in providing medical treatment. He also said he has been forced to pay for the prescribed medication.
Razavi Faghih was arrested in 2009 for delivering a speech and sentenced to one year in prison on security charges. His sentence had finished five months ago yet he has been held in limbo ever since in this same prison.
