Incoming reports from prisoners and informed sources in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran, indicate that changes are being made where women are held in detention. According to the latest movements seen by the judiciary and Prisons Organization, the Iranian regime intends to turn the entire Karaj Central Prison into a prison specifically allocated to women, and women prisoners from the provinces of Alborz and Tehran to be all transferred to this prison. Based on these changes Karaj Central Prison will be renamed to the “Women’s” prison.
