Iran: 723 arrested in 8 months for internet surfing


Tehran police Chief Hossein Sajedinia said 723 individuals, including 114 women, have been arrested on Internet related charges from March to November of this year. 
  Iran has appointed a special police force, the FATA police, to monitor and arrest internet users based on their posts and internet communications. There has been a 4% increase in arrests by FATA police compared to the same period last year.
