Two prisoners Hanged publicly in Shahr-e Kord, Iran

HRANA News Agency – Local judiciary authorities announced two prisoners convicted of rape were publicly hanged in Shahr-e Kord, Chahar Mahal Bakhitiari province.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from IRIB News, the deputy prosecutor in Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari said: “These two prisoners were convicted of kidnapping and raping a 17 years old boy.

“These two prisoners were brothers and their execution verdict was confirmed in less than two months.” Mousavi continued.

These prisoners are fourth and fifth prisoners being hanged convicted of rape in this province, this year (Persian Calendar).

“The pardon request was requested by their lawyer, but rejected in the Supreme Court. Even if they were survived of execution they would be imprisoned for 15 years convicted of kidnapping.” Mousavi said.
