About 15 people gathered at the corner of Abbott and Grand River, holding signs, chanting, and waving old Iranian Flags.
They told us they’re concerned about the attacks Friday in Pairs, but they really want to spread the word about ISIS and the role Iran plays in making the terrorist group stronger.
'To destroy ISIS we have to get to the root of the problem,' said one protester, Hamid Korrami. 'The root of the problem is Iran. It is the fascist regime of Iran.'
Khorrami called on the US Government and the United Nations to support the Iranian opposition group Mujahedin-e Khalq, or MEK.
Protesters were particularly concerned about the recent attacks on Camp Liberty in Iraq. The camp used to be run by the US, but is now controlled by Iraq. Thousands of MEK dissidents live there. Late last month, the camp was attacked, killing 24 people
