Iran: flimsy muscle-flexing and threatening people and the youth

As the election masquerade nears with a deadly schism at the top of clerical regime’s rule, commanders of its suppressive forces, fearful of social uprisings, have resorted to threatening the people and the youth to intensify the atmosphere of terror.
Head henchman Mohseni Ejaie, prosecutor general of mullahs, reported of “mischief by PMOI and enemies of the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran to disrupt the security atmosphere in the country on the eve of the elections and the arrest of their elements by the intelligence ministry” and said that “during this period, the intelligence ministry has apprehended, detained, and so-called looking into their charges” (Jam-e Jam state website – May 28, 2013)
Ahmadi Moghaddam, Commander of State Security Forces (SSF), said: “Control of security forces on all websites and means of dissemination of information is not comparable to 2009.” He stressed: “Forces under his command ‘with all their might are prepared to reign in any sideline activities during the presidential elections, including taking to the streets of supporters of an approved candidate or upheavals by supporters of a disqualified one.”
Bragging that any protest move will be put down in the most severe fashion, he said: “Preparation of the security forces after the 2009 Sedition will be according to the policy of predicting the worst scenario for the least probable case.” (Mehr news agency –May 24, 2013)
Prior to elimination of Rafsanjani he had said: “Our enemies today, with their negative propaganda and all sorts of media, are poised to spoil the public opinion and destroy the Velayat-e faqih. Reactionaries and lawbreakers are marshaling against Velayat-e faqih rule.” (MOIS news agency of Mehr –May 22, 2013)
