As the families of the political prisoners in Ward 350 of the notorious Evin prison gathered this morning outside President Rouhani’s office to demand the release and medical treatment of their loved ones, the crowd increased steadily and other people including some former political prisoners joined them to condemn the brutal raid and harsh treatment of those political inmates. This is despite the government’s all efforts to put down any decent and to surround the protesters preventing other people to join them.
Mothers of political prisoners chanted 'Death to the Dictator' and 'Political prisoners must be freed'. They also invited and encouraged other people to voice their dismay at the brutal raid on Ward 350 of the Evin prison.
Those who had gathered revealed the government lies, when they said 'there were no beatings and harassments and the noise is due to the celebration inside the prison and that all these opposition are nothing but lies. People and families of the prisoners said the government is outright lying, because we saw the prisoners and the traces of torture on their bodies with our own eyes.
