Gholam Hossein Esmaeeli, head of the regime’s Prisons Organization, in a ridiculous attempt to cover up the inhumane crime committed by the mullahs’ regime in Evin Prison said on Monday, April 21st, “Following the publication of false news from inside the prison, we have investigated the issue and identified the element behind the posting of such untrue news and introduced him to the judicial authorities”. He also repeated the lie of “inmates of Evin’s ward 350 meeting with their families” and said, “As I said before there were no clashes in ward 350 of the Evin Detention Center and there was only a periodic inspection. News of clashes between inmates and our colleagues are not true and these are lies published by the opponents of the state.”
Reports received from inside the mullahs’ regime indicate that according to a preposterous scenario aimed at escaping the consequences of the premeditated attack against ward 350, and by preparing fabricated and doctored video clips, senior Iranian officials are trying to pretend as if a number of inmates started the clashes by attacking the authorities, breaking windows and insulting the security agents, and thus a number of inmates who sought to attack the prison guards were injured. According to this scenario, this measure by the prisoners was in cooperation with “foreign media outlets” and “foreign circles”, and in line with the European Parliament resolution to therefore show that human rights and the rights of prisoners are violated in Iran, and to bring the issue of human rights to the nuclear negotiations.
Reporters Without Borders issued a report on the attack against inmates of Evin’s ward 350 and stipulated, “According to the information obtained by Reporters Without Borders, the operation was prepared and organized by senior officials in the justice system, information department, Revolutionary Guards and Intelligence Ministry, and the presence of representatives from all of these departments during the raid was no coincidence.”
The Iranian Resistance calls on the Secretary-General, High Commissioner for Human Rights and other relevant bodies of the United Nations and all human rights organizations to strongly condemn this criminal attack and the Iranian regime’s efforts to divert attention from the truth, and requested an international and independent fact-finding mission to probe this inhumane crime.
