Iran – Teachers’ protest gathering in Dashtestan and Borazjan

More than 100 teachers of Dashtestan and Borazjan, central Iran, staged a protest gathering in front of the education office of Borazjan, located in Daneshjoo Street. The protesters staged a sit-in to demand action by the authorities. The gathering was with the aim of protesting against low wages and salaries, lack of job bonuses and harsh living conditions the teachers are facing with.

Tehran – Solidarity of shop owners and vendors against repressive forces

In a sign of solidarity with vendors, shop owners in Joumhouri Street neutralized a coordinated attack of city hall workers and plain cloth security force. 
The repressive government agents tried to arrest vendors and confiscate their stand at this major intersection, but shopkeepers who were present and were witness to the scene, neutralized the attack and helped their neighboring vendors to protect themselves and their assets from being confiscated and robbed by the agents.
